Senior PHP Developer

Project description:

The software is a Management Information System with a modular structure which covers the whole field of real estate and facility management. This software suite includes space and resources management, a helpdesk, meeting room reservations, financial management, maintenance of technical installations, cable management, etc. The system architecture includes the backend and a number of user interfaces: Desktop, Web and Mobile. Vast reporting functions cover all user needs, from operational reporting to high end management information and dashboards.

The software product is a worldwide leader in the facilities management domain and is installed in more than 50 countries on 5 continents and used by the Global 100 companies.

In year 2012, implementing more and more aggressive marketing, the company made a strategic decision to raise the investments into the quality of the product, what will bring it to a new level of usability and reliability, as well as allow to organize the development in a truly agile manner. Among the planned new features and enhancements are the CAD and space management, augmented reality, business intelligence, NoSQL support, Auomated QA, new architectural patterns, move in the direction of SaaS and of course the new functional modules, demanded by the market.

Technology stack:

PHP, Zend Framework, JavaScript, Ext.JS, Web Services, Oracle, PL/SQL, Zend Server, PhpStorm

Methodology:

Scrum, Extreme Programming, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Greenhopper, Confluence, Crucible)

Requirements:

Experience occupying a senior developer position for at least 1 year
OOAD, design patterns, architectural patterns
Profound knowledge of PHP and related technologies
Strong competence with Zend Framework or similar application framework
Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL
Strong knowledge of web services
Good client-side (web browser) programming skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Upper-intermediate level of English, excellent communication skills
Special attention to software quality and usability

Preferred skills:

Experience with Zend Server
Oracle RDBMS
Experience with EAI (Enterprise Application Integration)
Real-estate and facility management domain
Practical experience with well-implemented Scrum and XP
